Cooking With Young Children
Course Description
Cooking can help young children learn about food, practice basic math concepts as well as build language skills and self-confidence. In this presentation we will learn strategies to successfully incorporate cooking experiences into early childhood care.
Learning Objectives
- Identify the barriers to cooking with young children.
- Analyze methods for teaching healthy eating through hands on cooking activities.
- Develop strategies for your own environment to include cooking experiences in young children.
