This course is for those who will be applying chemicals (pesticides, fertilizers, etc.) through an irrigation system, this is called chemigation. After taking the course and passing the exam, the chemigator is then eligible for a license. Any individual operating the irrigation system while chemicals are being applied through it must have this training and a license.
