Course Description
This course is offered on by the University of Nebraska Kearney on our UNK Advance platform in partnership with the Online Learning Consortium. Game environments encourage collaboration, inquiry-based learning, repetition, practice and control. In this workshop, you will use theories and principles from game design to develop learning environments that motivate and engage students in a creative way. By understanding elements of game design theory, you will begin to adopt and incorporate these elements which promote engagement into your online and blended courses. You will explore elements such as role-playing, point systems, competition, and collaboration.
