Course Description

The Google UX Design Certificate teachers learners the foundations of UX design, including empathizing with users, building wireframes and prototypes, and conducting research to test your designs.

Certificate graduates know how to follow the UX design process, understand the basics of UX research, and can work with Figma and Adobe XD — two of the most in-demand design tools by employers.

Graduates also build portfolio websites to showcase their projects, including a mobile app, a responsive website, and a cross-platform experience.

Learning Objectives

  1. Have a portfolio website that includes as many as 3 end-to-end projects: a mobile app, a responsive website, and a cross-platform experience.
  2. Dive into working in Figma, one of the most in-demand design tools by employers.
  3. Know how to follow the design thinking framework: empathize with users, define pain points, ideate solutions, create wireframes and prototypes, test and iterate on designs.
  4. Understand the basics of UX research, like planning research studies, conducting interviews and usability studies, and synthesizing research results.
