Course Description

This training provides an in-depth exploration of effective addiction treatment by examining both commonalities and crucial differences among individuals struggling with substance use. Attendees will learn how to integrate a variety of therapeutic modalities—including Motivational Interviewing, CBT, DBT, REBT, EMDR, Person-centered strategies, and Transactional Analysis—into individualized treatment plans, reinforced through practical case-study applications.

Learning Objectives

  1. Compare and contrast similarities and differences in treating individuals with addictions. 
  2. Identify personal biases related to addiction and describe strategies to mitigate their impact in clinical practice.
  3. Demonstrate the ability to create an individualized treatment plan for a client with a substance use disorder.
