Course Description
This training provides an in-depth exploration of effective addiction treatment by examining both commonalities and crucial differences among individuals struggling with substance use. Attendees will learn how to integrate a variety of therapeutic modalities—including Motivational Interviewing, CBT, DBT, REBT, EMDR, Person-centered strategies, and Transactional Analysis—into individualized treatment plans, reinforced through practical case-study applications.
Learning Objectives
- Compare and contrast similarities and differences in treating individuals with addictions.
- Identify personal biases related to addiction and describe strategies to mitigate their impact in clinical practice.
- Demonstrate the ability to create an individualized treatment plan for a client with a substance use disorder.
