Course Description

Explore how attachment shapes development across the lifespan in this course designed for professionals working with children and families. Participants will gain a foundational understanding of attachment dynamics, learn to identify relevant diagnoses, and discover how to integrate attachment theory into clinical practice. Through this lens, clinicians can enhance their interventions and more effectively support clients and families at every stage of life.

Learning Objectives

  1. Trainees will receive a general overview of how to understand the dynamics of attachment to understand how it is being experienced by their clients and families.   
  2. Trainees will learn what diagnoses are most relevant in working with clients and families through an attachment lens.     
  3. Trainees will learn a framework to integrate attachment styles into their practice in order to enhance interventions with clients and families.
